Groups and chats
Beyond the shared feed, you can create groups or message one person privately.
Groups
A group is a separate thread with a member list. What you share into a group is visible only to its members — it does not go to your general friends feed.
Good for:
- Housemates cooking together.
- Two people following the same plan.
- A group that trains together.
Members hold roles, so whoever created the group can manage who joins and who leaves.
Private chats
A one-to-one thread with a friend. Structurally the same as a group, except that it always has exactly two people.
Sharing into a group
When you share a meal, you choose its audience: friends generally, a specific group, or a chat. The meal appears in that thread with its dishes and nutrition figures.
Within the thread, people can reply, react, or log the meal into their own diary.
Worth knowing
- Leaving a group stops you seeing new content there. What you shared before may remain visible to the remaining members.
- Group messages are your content and follow the same rules set out in the terms of service.
- It is still worth thinking before you share: a meal says a fair amount about your habits and your health.
